Hunting Areas
Our hunting blocks in the Luangwa Valley consist of Mwanya, Lower Lupande, Nyacolwe, Nyamvu, Chikwa and West Petauke hunting areas and in the west along the Kafue National Park lies Mufunta Gma as well as the Bangweulu and Kafue Flats for the swamp game and safaris, we can basically offer you ALL that Zambia has to offer from Large Sable and Roan, Big Lion, Very Good Buffalo and some of Africa’s best Leopard hunting combined with Hippo, Crocodile and Plains Game.
Zambia has a Minimum Age Restriction on Lion of 6 years, so there might be hunts ending with no Lion in the bag taken, in all our areas you will see and find plenty lion while on safari but we will not allow any Lion to be shot younger than the minimum age or to the discretion of the Ph in charge of the hunt.
Kafue Flats is where we hunt the exclusive Kafue Lechwe in their natural habitat.
Bangweulu Swamps meaning “where Water and Skies meet” is where we hunt Sitatunga, Black Lechwe and Tsessebe mainly but Oribi and Common Reedbuck occur there to and are good to consider. The elusive Sitatunga is said to be the Ghost of the Swamps as they can be there one moment and gone the next. Searching the misty reeds for the magical appearance of a mature male as the sun rises over the Bangweulu is truly an experience of a lifetime.
Hunting Season
Zambia season is from 1st of May to mainly the end of November but hunting can be done till the 31st December each year.

Van Noordwyk Safaris operates to strict quotas and cannot always offer all species to every client, please ensure at the time of booking your safari if the specific species you would like to hunt are available and confirm them. Prices are subject to adjustment without prior notice due to possible matters out of our control.

Please note: All rates are quoted Return, Prices subject to change in accordance of fuel prices and exchange rates. Prices to be advised on offer and final contract for safari as per area.
DAILY RATES COVER THE FOLLOWING:
The services of a fully licensed professional hunter with a good quality rigged up 4 wheel drive vehicle and a team of trackers and skinners. Skinning and field preparation as well as salting of skins and trophies. Full accommodation, meals, local beverages and laundry.
